Over the years the Minority Front leader, Hon. Shameen Thakur– Rajbansi has distributed items that meets the basic needs of different age groups and genders in our communities. The MF has served the community in every possible way to make a difference to the lives of the vulnerable. MF councillor, Mr V Bhana visited the Upper Highway Baby Home where he distributed pampers for new born babies. The home is run by Gary and Kerry who rely on sponsorships from the public. The home caters for abandoned babies and assists teenage mothers. Kerry and Gary started the baby home 2 years ago to help vulnerable babies in their area and it’s grown exponentially in the last 2 years because there is such a huge need- especially with the added stress and social issues around Covid-19. They are a non-profit created solely for the love of the babies. They give their 100% of their hearts to every child selflessly knowing the heartbreak that will follow them leaving to be with their forever families. Despite the difficult start a lot of the babies had in life the love and care they get at the baby home helps them to heal and become loving, well-adjusted little people. MF leader, Hon. Shameen Thakur–Rajbansi calls all officials from homes which have new born babies to contact us as we want to sponsor pampers to the home. We also call families that are underprivileged who have new born babies to also contact us. You may call our office on 067 833 2958 or contact Councillor V Bhana on 076 393 0271 for further assistance. Please note that the diapers are only for new-borns (1-28 days).
Let’s move forward together
