1. HON. Members, the MF supports the KZN Internal Audit Repeal Act, 2017 noting that internal Audit provides a number of important services to department’s’ management and includes detecting and preventing fraud, testing internal control, and monitoring compliance with department policy and government regulations. Hence, the MF support the repeal due to this function being a National Competency, because in KZN the internal audit committees are already functioning as per the prescripts of the PFMA.
