  1. HON. Members, the commitments for EDTEA projects reflects underspending across most projects. The HON. MEC must report to this House on the course of action to remedy this underspending trend.
  2. Provincial Public Entities have high vacancy rates which necessitates an update to this House by the HON. MEC, and on the other matters highlighted in the 2016/2017 Budget Performance Summary of Provincial Public Entities.
  3. HON. Speaker, I am concerned about the low spending by some Departments on certain grants, but some show a balanced budget at year end. What is the proposed course of action in this regard HON. Finance MEC?
  4. The underspending of 29.7% over the 2 quarters by Health is very concerning due to the delays in obtaining receipts from the Ethekwini Metro for municipal payments. Again, HON. Speaker we need a plan of action on these municipal payments.
  5. HON Members, with these concerns, the Minority Front supports this Mid Term Performance Review Reports.
  6. Thank you.
