Hon Speaker, I hereby give notice that I shall move on the next sitting day of this Hon. House as follows,

Noting that Eastern Languages is being phased out by the CAPS document, next year.

Further noting that, CAPS 2.2, allocates 1,5 hours for second additional language, but the Notional Section 1.4.2 for intermediate and senior phase omits this,

This Hon. House calls on Hon MEC of Education, Mr S. Mchunu to ensure that the CAPS document is amended to factor in section 2.2 or mother tongue languages would be history in South Africa, disenfranchising communities.
