Hon. Speaker, I shall move as follows,

Noting that, the ECD programme is one of the NDP measures to reduce the acute impact of poverty and improve performance in formal schooling,

Further noting that this national priority and the Conditional Grant allocated to KZN for the next 10 years is aimed at increasing access for children and to move the conditionally registered ECD centres to full registration to make these eligible for subsidy,

This Hon. House resolves to call on the Hon. MEC Thusi to issue an executive statement on the business plan and roll-out of this grant.
