Madam Speaker, I hereby give notice that I shall move as follows:

Noting, that there is rising neglect of our growing elderly population by their family, which burdens the state,

Further noting the older Persons Bill 2003, Section 18 has submissions to cover gaps for care and protection,

This HON. House resolves to call for either a separate Maintenance of Parent Act, for children who can afford to maintain their aging parents but do not or regulations emanating from the Older Persons Bill 2003, for the formation of a tribunal for the Maintenance of Parents to strengthen Section 18.
