Minority Front Motion: Political Violence Against Women Candidates 2019 Elections 27112018

Hon. Speaker, I shall move on the next sitting day as follows,

Noting that, the culture of violence against women in politics is growing,

Further noting, that before the 2019 parliamentary elections it is imperative to amend the Women Empowerment and Gender Equity Bill 2013 and the Electoral Act 1998 to eradicate Political Violence against Women candidates. HON. Speaker, to mark the 16 Days of Activism against Violence against Women, a workshop should be held early next year with relevant Chapter 9 Institutions and the IEC, in this regard.
