Hon Speaker, I shall move as follows,

Noting that, the acclaimed efforts of Messrs. Mandela and Hofmeyr should continue to leave an indelible legacy with our school students,

Further noting that, our annual Freedom Day celebrations will be enhanced by mandatory  freedom debate contests in every school honouring these icons, which should progress from district to national  championship levels culminating with the finals close to June 16 each year,

This Hon. House invites discourse on the efficacy of introducing these debates to stimulate our youth and promote the furtherance of social cohesion in our country.
