Mr P. Koblall stated that, residents of Emona in Tongaat did not have electricity for 8 days, continuously. The Minority Front intervened, got Eskom to come out, fix the pole and reconnect the power. The community was relieved after an eight day wait. Mr P. Koblall said that the turn-around time from Eskom is inhumane and they need to have better infrastructure in semi-rural areas. “We need Eskom and other service providers to improve their outages turn- around time, as this is having a drastic effect on the farming community. The quality of service must be equal for every citizen.

MF ALL THE WAY.
