The Minority Front supported the community when they rejected a mortuary being built in the above pictured site. Hon. S. Thakur- Rajbansi intervened and was assured by the head of Mortuaries in KZN that the Department of Health was unaware of such a request. The MF leader stated that a mortuary cannot be built in this area as a proper EIA needed to be done and the community was already protesting as the area was within a populated suburb, not conducive for such buildings.
The MF is delighted that a shopping centre is being built. It will help create more employment opportunities for the local residents of Verulam. Mrs Rajbansi praised the community for being proactive as to what their area development needs are.
