- The Conditional Grant gains in the KZN Departments of Education and Human Settlements is appreciated. The Hon. MECs and staff are thanked for showing that plans can work.
- All three grants are for infrastructure, hence the focus for our KZN departments to spend effectively and efficiently should be on internal capacitation; artisan training, internships and a variety of employment packages, given project needs.
- Hon. Speaker and Chairpersons it is important whenever KZN loses or gains grant monies, that we set in motion a special sitting, so that collectively we ensure that funds are committed to prevent roll-overs or to complete projects. There is a need in this gap period although limited, to put in place risk-mitigation measures to prevent loss or further loss.
- The Minority Front supports the Second Adjustments Appropriations Bill 2022 with these recommendations.
- Thank you
