Cerebral Palsy Rehabilitation

Hon Speaker, I shall move as follows,

Noting that, Cerebral Palsy affects an estimated 2200 infants annually in South Africa,

Further noting that, affected babies lack muscle strength to crawl, a skill which enhances infant learning,

This Hon House congratulates Prof. Thubi Kolobe, formerly of Limpopo, now in the US, for co-inventing a device, resembling a hi-tech skateboard that “teaches” disabled infants to crawl; fostering rehabilitation for neural development.
