  1. The Minority Front acknowledges the significance of Worker’s Day and remembers the historical contributions of labour organizations.
  2. Since 1994, South African’s have been promised good working conditions. As a country we strive to maintain world standards, however many issues still need to be fixed.
  3. We require further amendment to the Labour Relations Act to deal with lower strata labour improvement to help business enter into collective agreements with staff members, which impacts on unemployment, inequality and shortage of skills.
  4. Our labour court is too expensive to approach, Hon. Premier. It is out of the reach of ordinary workers.
  5. What is of the most benefit to employees is mandatory productive training programmes for all sectors so that organizations assist in economic and social transformation.
  6. We need to regulate training budgets, even as part of reporting mechanisms, as part of Triple Bottom Line reporting of companies most pertinent, we need to seriously attend to disclosures for senior posts and strengthen the rights of employers government being the largest employer, to decide during interviews whether a candidate is suitable or not, to prevent problems in the workplace, improve performance and add stability to our economy, notwithstanding our International labour Organization agreements.
