- The Minority Front welcomes this electricity bill which opens up the electricity supply and trading markets in a transitional manner which should in the long term remain a public- private partnership and never be completely privatised.
- Clause 3.7.2: Sub- contracting by licensees being an exception would need monitoring as this can escalate electricity pricing, as well as infrastructure; these costs will be born by end-users hence sub-contracting must be well regulated by NERSA.
- With this recommendation, the Minority Front supports this bill.
