Madam Speaker, I hereby give notice that I shall move on the next sitting day of the Hon. House as follows:

Noting that, our healthcare facilities create significant environmental impacts,
Further noting, the need for greening healthcare through systematic implementation of environmental programmes.

This Hon. House calls on the Hon. MEC of Health N. Simelaneto initiate a waste management mitigation pilot project at King Edward Hospital in collaboration with the Nelson Mandela School of Medicine. Thereafter, develop a framework to enhance the environmental performance of all healthcare facilities in KwaZulu-Natal.
