The Minority Front (MF) is proud to announce that it will be contesting the 2026 Local Government Elections.
For more than 30 years, the MF has stood firmly with our communities—delivering consistent representation, practical support, and a voice for the voiceless. Since the days of our founder, the late Amichand Rajbansi and the current leadership of Shameen Thakur-Rajbansi, the MF has worked tirelessly to ensure that minority rights are respected, services reach the people, and local voices are not ignored.
We did not contest the 2024 national and provincial elections due to financial constraints but still responds to the needs of communities daily. We continue to serve: helping families, students, pensioners, small businesses, cultural organisations. The MF voice remains the protector of minorities for fair representation at every level as we have a seat in the eThekwini Council.
Today, communities still face serious challenges: service delivery failures, corruption, and neglect. The MF is stepping into the ring again because we refuse to allow our people to be ignored. Local government is where your daily life is most affected—water, electricity, housing, jobs, and safety. This is where your vote counts the most, and this is why the MF is coming back stronger than ever to fight for you.
The Minority Front has always been a party of action, compassion, and accountability. For more than three decades, we have been there for you, not only during elections. Now we ask for your support so that we can continue fighting for fair treatment, improved services, and a stronger voice for our communities.
We did not contest in 2024, but we never stopped working for you. Now, with service delivery collapsing and corruption spreading, the MF is stepping forward again because your daily struggles with water, electricity, jobs and safety matter.
The MF has always been more than a party: it’s your voice, your protector, your champion. Together, let’s build strong and accountable local government. Let’s rebuild our areas. In 2026, vote MF because no community must be left behind.
