MF LEADER ATTENDS PARENTS APPRECIATION DAY

Hon. S. Thakur Rajbansi thanked the school management teams, school governing body members, motivate to inspire team, learners and most important, the educators for hosting the parents appreciation day.

Mrs Rajbansi, MF leader said, Raising children is quiet a daunting task, however the challenges are most rewarding as a fulltime job, called parenting.

She said that the learners and the school management was celebrating their efforts to cooperate and share in the responsibility to mentor, guide and discipline their children. Because ultimately, good parenting shows in each learner. You all would agree that your children are your richest treasure. Give them the right type of training and they will fly to great heights, she said.
Hailing the Chatsworth community for iconic people who lead in their fields of work, she said that this was due to the parents.
We have many wise saints, one such is Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore who said, “Every child comes with a message that God is not yet discouraged of man”. This is very true since children represent hope, the future and possible human salvation. Therefore, the learners and teachers who are part of “Motivate to Inspire, Inspire to Motivate” are living proof that A child is God’s opinion that the world should go on”.
She explained that Hindu parents celebrate ‘Janamasti’ the birth of divine gods and on Christmas Day, Christians celebrate baby Jesus whilst Muslims celebrate the birth of the prophet. Similarly, all parents add value to every generation in a family. Therefore,
schools are intuitions of teaching and learning. Schools open their doors to culture and the parents add cultural, religious and social values to the schooling system by investing time and money in the children.

Mrs Rajbansi emphasized that it is the mother who is the child’s first teacher, the home is the child’s first school and thanked the parents for taking their duties seriously.
She especially thanked grandparents and dads present because it is through their responsibility to provide the children to be born and the mother with the environment of peace, calm, love and care that societies prosper.
Children remember live in the ‘now’, they are free from anxieties of the past or future, therefore they demand their parent’s attention. Therefore, the appreciation day was for children to thank their parents for making them feel wanted and ensuring that their needs of health and education are met. These are the basics every child needs, she said.

Mrs Rajbansi thanked parents because of their hard work to provide for their children, see to their homework and exams preparation and be present at school events. Most important was proper communication with children and listening to them. In these ways’ dear parents, you are offering your children every possibility there is because life is full of wonderful options, she said. Mrs Rajbansi thanked all parents for being mentors and role models to their children because as a parliamentarian she said, We cannot make laws to shape every aspect of a family’s life but good parents can. Remember a family that prays together, stays together.
